  • Customer Success Manager, SMB

    EMEA Customer Success
    The Customer Success Manager, SMB is responsible for managing a tech touch approach to a large book of business. Customer Success Managers, 1:Many have a shared portfolio of accounts which they manage throughout the lifecycle from onboarding through renewal. They are also responsible for gathering feedback from customers and working with internal HackerOne teams to improve the customer experience and product suite. The Customer Success team crafts great customer experiences by being our customers’ most trusted advisors for building successful security programs on HackerOne.

    This role can be based in the United States or Canada.

    YOUR JOURNEY AT HACKERONE

    • Ability to monitor, interpret and learn based on customer data
    • Contribute to the team's library of campaigns, and processes that are standardized 'to drive efficiencies and enable scale
    • Work with customers to gather and document requirements, then ensure the requirements solve a customer’s business objective(s) through project outcomes and deliverables

    • Technical conversational knowledge in the following areas: capacity, utilization, and security basics
    • IT Service Management and Service Delivery (ITIL certification preferred)
    • Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organization skills

    • 3+ years of experience hiring and managing a team
    • A background and hands-on experience in all areas of digital marketing: SEO, SEM, paid social, ABM, paid sponsorships, email nurture, web strategy, and optimization, including web reporting and conversion rate optimization.
    • Experience managing and optimizing budgets, analytics tools, CRM, marketing automation platforms, and other marketing tools 
    • Proven experience managing agencies to achieve traffic, conversion, lead, and digital pipeline goals

  • Technical Engagement Manager

    United States, Netherlands, or United Kingdom Customer Success
    HackerOne is looking for a Technical Engagement Manager to join our team and help some of our largest customers run their hacker-powered vulnerability assessment and penetration testing programs! This is a perfect role for someone who deeply understands the penetration testing process, has knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, and enjoys working with customers to improve their security posture while engaging daily with our global community of hackers. As a Technical Engagement Manager, you own the technical delivery and implementation of all penetration testing and vulnerability assessment products. You will work closely with customers large and small to scope, plan, schedule, and report on penetration testing projects.

    This is a technical delivery role inside the Customer Success department and reports directly into the Head of Security Assessments. The job can be performed from H1 offices in San Francisco, London and Groningen, or remotely from anywhere in the United States, Canada, UK, Netherlands, France, Italy and Austria.

    Your Journey at HackerOne

    • Plan and run multiple complex engagements across various customers, coordinating with both customers and the hacker community
    • Help customers scope out large and complex penetration testing engagements
    • Develop test plans that align with customer goals and drive desired outcomes and results
    • Maintain existing and develop new testing methodologies across various different types of attack surface
    • Represent HackerOne’s assessment delivery process and methodology to our customers’ business leaders and executives
    • Expectation setting and clear communication with key stakeholders both internally and in our customer organizations
    • Schedule and staff each engagement with the best-suited penetration testing team for the job
    • Obtain access to the assessment scope, confirming access, credentials, and documentation is in shape for the Pentest Team to hit the ground running
    • Work alongside many great Lead Pentesters from our global hacker community
    • Interface with the hacker community to ensure full coverage of the scope, report back to the client on progress the team is making, and run point on any escalations that may come up during the engagement
    • Ensuring quality & technical accuracy for all deliverables produced during an engagement
    • Drive on-time and satisfactory delivery of each engagement
    • Present technical findings and vulnerability details to our customers’ business stakeholders
    • Lead and coordinate internal projects to make process and efficiency improvements
    • Active SME contribution in bringing to market new types of security assessments
    • Provide strategic input into the product roadmap of HackerOne’s suite of assessments

    Who You Are

    • You’ve successfully delivered many technical penetration testing engagements but have begun to feel disillusioned with the limitations of the traditional consulting model
    • You are keen on adopting best practices from the best in the world, while also relentlessly innovating to bring security into the modern, digital-first era
    • You believe “Because this is how we’ve always done it” may just be one of the most dangerous phrases in existence
    • 1-3 years of experience delivering penetration testing engagements and managing client projects
