The Hacking Mindset Recognized For Driving Innovations for Customers And Hackers

Thursday July 13, SAN FRANCISCO - HackerOne, the leader in Attack Resistance, today announced it has been named as a Best Workplace for Innovators by Fast Company. Fast Company awards workplaces the title based on company goals, examples of and investment in innovation, and workplace culture. HackerOne’s Hack Week, where employees  embrace the hacker mindset to identify areas of the business that need improvement, and the company’s digital first approach were key to securing the award.

“At HackerOne, we encourage our employees to challenge the status quo. After all, hacking is about breaking things to build them better than before,” said Dawn Mitchell, Chief People Officer. “Customers benefit from our employees’ innovative mindset as they secure access to new features and products that promote their security goals. For example, our much anticipated Code Review product came out of a Hack Week project that resulted in our acquisition of Pull Request. This award illustrates how the hacker mindset drives innovation.”

Other notable innovations from HackerOne over the past 12 months include the launch of the Gold Standard Safe Harbor (GSSH), to provide additional protections for hackers, the Brand Ambassador program, which empowers hackers to drive engagement in their local regions, the Internet Bug Bounty (IBB), which strengthens open source security by offering customers the opportunity to contribute to bounty pools for open source projects.
